Remembrance Sunday Parade through Hirwaun

November 14, 2007

Parade marching at Hirwaun Remembrance Sunday Service 2007

From Meadow Lane the Parade marches to the heart of the village of Hirwaun.

The Band play a marching tune and the Parade marches to a solemn drum beat.

Hirwaun police have temporarily closed the main streets for the parade.

Villagers and people from nearby villages line the route to witness the occasion, and they wait patiently for the Public Service which will happen later at the War Memorial.

The Parade winds itself through High Street, passing the towering landmark of the War Memorial, the village shops and then onwards towards St Lleurwg’s Church for a Service of Remembrance.
