Ballot Results for Hirwaun in the Local Council Election 2008 were confirmed late this morning after the Official Count at Michael Sobells Sports Centre, Aberdare :Clive Griffiths (Communist) 40 votes
Karen Morgan (Plaid) 804 votes
Bill Myring (Labour) 441 votes
Therefore Karen Morgan has been duly elected County Borough Councillor for Hirwaun.
Good luck to Councillor Morgan in her new role representing the community of Hirwaun.
