From the Great great great grandson of the Hirwaun Iron Works Owner

205 years ago Hirwaun Iron Works was bought by a new partnership of entrepreneurs. One of the partners was Francis William BowzerStuart Wilson, the great great great grandson of that man, wrote to Hirwaun Online this week and contributed an excerpt from a biography he has prepared on his famous ‘great great great grandfather’.
It’s a very poignant tale… Bowzer was made bankrupt in 1813 and forced to sell the Hirwaun Iron Works business. His wife died a year later leaving him with ten children.
